Latest Drone Releases & Industry NewsWith the new year came some exciting rumours, releases and changes to the drone industry worldwide. Some of the new exciting releases for the first quarter of 2020 would be products from Autel who are an American manufacturer set to take on the likes of the current industry champions the DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone & DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone. Their new model the Autel Evo 2 has multiple varying payloads including 2 optical cameras & 1 thermal camera, excellent transmission range, portable size & a lengthy 40 minute claimed flight time.
- DJI Matrice 300 which will have an apparent 50 minute flight time from the TB60 batteries, enhanced thermal payloads & smarter intelligence functionality & onboard computing power for the enterprise users. The Matrice 200, 210 & 210RTK have been highly successful platforms in the local South African market due to our large mining and agricultural sectors of the economy. This drone has excellent dust and water resistant capability allowing it to operate successfully in these harsh environments.
- DJI Mavic 3 Pro & Inspire 3 have been spoken about which would also see enhanced camera recording formats & improved low light performance along with the industry standard increases in speed, flight duration & transmission range.
- DJI Agras T16 Agricultural drone was released into the Chinese market mid 2019, we are working with the importer of this product in order to begin the legal sales & operation of this impressive crop spraying platform. In months to come we can expect to see an increase in payload weights & the introduction of swarming technology into agricultural spraying. The T16 is a welcome addition to the already successful Agras fleet which is legally spraying all over the continent.
